Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a breaker to perform sufficiently large movement of a movable piece under a snap action and quick restoration to an energized state after breakage of current is no longer necessary.SOLUTION: A breaker includes an electrically conductive fixed contact 3 fixed to a main surface 1u, and a movable piece 5 having an electrically conductive movable contact 5a which is in contact with the fixed contact 3 and separable from the fixed contact 3, and a movable piece fixed portion 5b partially fixed to the main surface 1u, and a thermally responsive element 4 which is disposed between the movable piece 5 and the main surface 1u so that the movable contact 5a is separated from the fixed contact 3 by displacing at least a part of the movable piece 5 due to reversion caused by snap action when the temperature is increased to a certain level or more. The main surface 1u is provided with a support table 7 which is provided so as to project and abut against a concave surface of the thermally responsive element 4 when the thermally responsive element 4 is reversed.
