The breaking apparatus 4 is provided with a current-limiting apparatus 5 for limiting overcurrent and the breaker 6 for wiring connected to the current-limiting apparatus 5 in series. The current-limiting apparatus 5 has a first permanent magnet 9; a second permanent magnet 10 facing the first permanent magnet 9, a first iron core 11 magnetically coupled to the first and second permanent magnets 9, 10; a second iron core 12 magnetically coupled to the first and second permanent magnets 9, 10 and facing the first iron core 11 via the first and second permanent magnets 9, 10, a closed magnetic circuit 7 for refluxing a saturation magnetic flux generated by the first and second permanent magnets 9, 10 into the first and second iron cores 11, 12 and a coil 8, having a conductive wire wound onto the first and second iron cores 9, 10.
