Abstract:
To provide a breaking sound sensor which has high sensitivity and is superior in durability.
The break sound sensor 1 is equipped with a receiving plate 3, which is mounted so as to be in close contact with a prestress concrete structure A which is an object to be measured; a piezoelectric ceramics element 4, which receives elastic waves generated by breaking of a tensioning member X buried in the object to be measured (A) via the receiving plate 3 and converts the elastic waves into electrical signals; and a casing 2, which contains the piezoelectric ceramics element 4. In the break sound sensor 1, all of a cylindrical section 2a and a cover section 2b of which the casing 2 is composed, are made of machinable ceramics.
