To provide a mamma image processing method, device and program greatly reducing the capacity (size) of a mamma image while retaining a mamma portion necessary for a diagnosis.

A control means separates the mamma portion from a background portion by dividing pixel values of an original image into a large part and a small part at a prescribed value as a boundary (S2), sets a mamma boundary line, or the boundary, moves the mamma boundary line to the background part side, sets a secondary boundary line regarding the mamma portion largely (S3), horizontally or vertically cuts the original image (S4) with leaving the mamma portion side from the secondary boundary line, defines it as the processed image, and generates the processed image of the mamma image of small capacity from the original image of the mamma image.
