To provide a breath alcohol concentration detector for detecting an alcohol concentration in breath more accurately even when the way of exhaling the breath of a measurement subject is fluctuated.
A breath temperature change detection portion 16 and a breath determination portion 18 obtain a temperature detected by a breath temperature detection sensor 14. When the temperature measured by the breath temperature detection sensor 14 decreases due to the breath during a predetermined period of time, the breath determination portion 18 determines that an alcohol concentration detected by the breath exhaling type alcohol detection sensor 12 is an invalid value. When the temperature measured by the breath temperature detection sensor 14 increases due to the breath during the predetermined period of time, the breath determination portion 18 determines that the alcohol concentration detected by the breath exhaling type alcohol detection sensor 12 is a valid value indicating the alcohol concentration contained in the breath of the measurement subject. Thereby, alcohol contained in the body of the measurement subject is sufficiently contained in one's breath and can be accurately detected.
