PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breathable laminated fiber material.
SOLUTION: This breathable laminate is produced by mutually joining at least two porous webs with a porous adhesive matrix, preferably a random fibrous adhesive pattern having 1.5-12 g/m2 coating weight. The two or more porous webs may be woven or nonwoven webs. The breathable fiber laminate has good hand and flexibility. The breathable fiber material can be made to adhere to a foam material by the random fibrous adhesive pattern of the similar coating weight. The coating width is set within the range of ≥203.2 cm by selecting the number of lands of a plurality of recessed lands present in one slot die and feeding an adhesive to the die. A consistent and uniform coating weight irrespective of the selected coating width and running speed of a material to be coated is maintained by controlling motors and pumps. A single ply coated web, an apparatus and a method are further disclosed.
