PURPOSE: To obtain a fuel nozzle for gas turbine engine including a water spray provided with means for protecting members against damage by eliminating water jet to a high temperature part using gaseous or distillate fuel.

CONSTITUTION: A cartridge assembly 94 comprises an elongated water supply pipe 96 having an inner through passage extending from the rear open end to the front open end. A mounting coupling 112 is secured to the outer surface in the vicinity of rear end and serves to load the cartridge assembly 94 in the rear end part of a fuel nozzle body. An interior water swirler 140 and an exterior distillate fuel swirler 116 are provided at the forward end of a cartridge pipe and an air swirler is provided at the forward end of the fuel nozzle body 10. An outer conical air spray, an intermediate distillate fuel or gaseous fuel spray, and an inner conical water spray are combined at the forward end of the fuel nozzle to produce a homogeneous mixture gas.
