PURPOSE: To eliminate a safety problem accompanying an operation, to increase an operation efficiency and to make it possible to move bricks from the bottom of a furnace reliably without necessitating auxiliary equipment on the furnace.
CONSTITUTION: In an entry-side block, a tubular brick intake device 16 being tiltable and fluid pressure cylinders 17 and 18 for elevating bricks are provided. In an exit-side block, a tubular brick delivering device 27 being tiltable is provided and a tubular brick guide 25 being shiftable in the lateral direction is provided in the lower part of this device. Between the entry-side block and the exit-side block, an intermediate block being disposed consecutively and having tubular brick guides 19 and 20 being shiftable in the lateral direction and fluid pressure cylinders 23 and 24 for elevating bricks in the guides after they are shifted, is provided. At the time of shifting in the intermediate block, the stop position of a piston on the downstream side is so set as to be lowered.
