To provide a brick repairing material, capable of repairing a brick surface of a brick structure while utilizing the surface texture of the structure.
The brick repairing material which is painted on a surface or defective part of a brick to repair it to the color tone of the brick comprises an aqueous synthetic resin emulsion, an extender mainly composed of quartz, and a colored pigment, and can be prepared in a desired brick color tone. The brick repairing material should be applied to a brick repairing material filling step S5 in a surface treatment method including a bed layer forming step (sealer application step S4, primer application step S6 and intermediate coating step S7) of forming a bed layer on the surface of the brick structure, and a graffiti-preventing layer forming step S8 of forming a graffiti-preventing layer by applying a graffiti-preventing coating material which can facilitate removal of graffiti on the surface of the bed layer formed in the bed layer forming step.
