Abstract:
To provide a bridge construction method with which bridge girders can be easily closed.SOLUTION: When constructing a cable-stayed bridge by closing bridge girders 2, 2' with a closure unit 6 arranged in a closure part C, one of the bridge girders 2 is retracted to widen the gap of the closure part C. After placing the closure unit 6 at the closure part C, one of the bridge girders 2 is moved forward to restore the gap of the closure part C, and the closure unit 6 closes the bridge girders 2, 2'. Retracting and moving forward of the bridge girder 2 are performed by supporting the reaction force on a bridge pier 1 with a reaction force part of a slide jig 10, and applying a direct horizontal force to the bridge girder 2 provided on the top surface of the bridge pier 1 via a force application part of the slide jig 10, performed by sliding the bridge girder 2 against the bridge pier 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
