To predict the progress of deformation with time by representing the deformation of a bridge at a proper level, and to perform the maintenance of the bridge at a low cost by presenting a combination of optimum repair and reinforcement on the basis of the result of prediction.
This bridge maintenance plan support system (BMS) is used for performing the maintenance of the bridge. Thus, long-term deterioration is predicted by evaluating quantitatively and objectively the degree of soundness of a member constituting the bridge. A BMS database creates evaluation conditions, automatically computes, corrects and determines the deterioration prediction of each deterioration mechanism, and automatically computes, corrects, determines, totalizes and indicates life-cycle cost. This enables the selection of an optimum countermeasure construction method and an optimum countermeasure time and the planned efficient maintenance of the bridge, so that work for making a future maintenance plan from the degree of the soundness of the bridge can be supported.
