Title:
BRIDGE FOR STRING INSTRUMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3831105
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable even a powerless child to play simple music in a merely open chord state without stopping the chords by having almost the same length as the array direction space of the chords of a guitar, setting different fret positions chord by chord, and coming in contact with the chord in the set position to change the vibration length of the chord. SOLUTION: A bridge 10 for a string instrument is formed being provided with dimension W almost equal to the array pitch of chords of an object string instrument; a bottom face 11 with larger dimension L that the dimension W in an orthogonal direction to the direction of the dimension W; a groove 12 formed almost at the center of the direction of the dimension L of the bottom face 11; and a protrusion 13 formed in a position directly above the groove 12. A fret is set being placed on a finger board in the state of being engaged into the groove 12 of the bridge 10 so as to position the protrusion 13 directly above the fret. The chord is engaged into a groove 14A or a groove 14B of the protrusion 13. The vibration length of the chord specified by the bridge 10 is therefore equivalent to vibration length specified by the fret engaged into the groove 12.
