Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the wind shielding effect compatible with the flutter prevention effect without increasing costs of materials and a weight of a bridge.
SOLUTION: A gridlike (structure through which wind passes) wind shielding wall 13 for suppressing flutter vibration is provided along the longitudinal direction in a central part of a bridge beam 11, a wind velocity on a bridge face is reduced while a part of stream of wind passes the wind shielding wall 13, and a flutter generation limit wind velocity is increased to make the wind shielding effect compatible with the flutter prevention effect without increasing costs of materials and a weight of a bridge.
