On one end face of the bundle of bristles 1 made by converging a plurality of thermoplastic monofilaments and then keeping the same taped on the outer periphery thereof, a fusing part 3 where the thermoplastic monofilaments are fused together is formed, thus the bristle bundle body is fabricated. The area of the fusing part 3 is within a range of 100-130% of a cross-sectional area of the bristle bundle body and a length in the longitudinal direction of the fusing part 3 is within a range of 1-5 mm.
