To provide a bristle implantation device wherein bristle implanting patterns are not limited, and which can implant bristles to bristle implanting holes with different hole diameters by one unit, and is equipped with a high productivity while suppressing the increase of plant-and-equipment investments.
The bristle implantation device 1, implanting a tuft 12 in such a manner that the tuft 12 of bristles 10 is bent into two and a flat wire 45 which is pinched by the tuft 12 is driven into the tuft hole 104, includes: a bristle implantation head 5 for which a tuft supply path 50 for guiding the tuft 12 is formed, and which is arranged to be confronted with the tuft hole 104; a flat wire supply mechanism 4 which supplies the flat wire 45 to the implantation head 5; and a tuft supply mechanism 3 which supplies the tuft 12 to the implantation head 5. The tuft supply mechanism 3 can change the number of the implantation bristles of the tuft 12 to be supplied. The bristle implantation head 5 is equipped with an implanting needle 60 which feeds out the tuft 12 to the tuft supply path 50 while bending the tuft 12 into two by the flat wire 45, and an expanding-contracting means which expands/contracts the width of the tuft supply path 50.
