To provide a bristle material for a toothbrush and the toothbrush retaining superior cleaning property, improving antifouling property and improving the cleanliness.

This bristle material for the toothbrush comprises a cut bristle of monofilament formed by melt spinning resin composition which contains fluororesin of 0.5-25 wt.% in regard to polyester-based resin or polyamide based resin.
