Abstract:
To provide a bristle for a toothbrush which can well clean tooth surfaces, occlusal surfaces and narrow parts, can be easily manufactured and is very suitable to manufacture the toothbrush.
The bristle 1 for the toothbrush has a nearly columnar trunk portion 10 extended from the base end 11 to the tip 21 and a plurality of branching portions 20 extended in the trunk portion 10 and has the branching portions 20 arranged in a shape gradually reduced in diameter toward the tip 21. The trunk portion 10 has a reduced diameter part 14 gradually reduced in diameter toward the branching portions 20 formed near the base ends 22 of the branch portions. The cross-sectional shape of the branching portions 20 is preferably nearly polygonal.
