To provide a bristle for a brush which extremely favorably soaks a paint, a coloring material or the like, enables the distal end section thereof alone to be split and to be branched and is formed tapered to improve the usability.
A fiber bristle part 1a includes a filling part 2 which is made of a nylon, polyester, etc. based fiber material comprising a thermoplastic polymer and whose cross section is made splittable into a plurality of pieces, a plurality of large void parts 3, and small void parts 4. The distal end part of the bristle part 1a is dipped into decomposing solution to form the part into a taper shape and the taper-shaped distal end part is split into four to fifteen pieces. Each split distal tip end part is split into a plurality of branches.
