Abstract:
Provided is a brush bristle material characterized in that, at one end or both ends in the lengthwise direction of a composite fiber having a core-in-sheath cross-sectional structure comprising a plurality of resin layers formed from at least two types of resin having different drug dissolution rates, at least one circular wall, which extends in the lengthwise direction of the composite fiber and extends across the entire periphery in the direction along the outer peripheral surface of the composite fiber, and at least one groove, which extends along the circular wall adjacent to the circular wall on the inner side thereof and is recessed in the lengthwise direction of the composite fiber from the tip of the circular wall, are formed. Further provided is a brush using the brush bristle material. As a result of the circular wall formed at the tip of the bristle material and the groove formed on the inner side of the circular wall, it is possible to provide: a brush bristle material that demonstrates a high cleaning performance including both an excellent dirt-scraping ability and an excellent dirt-trapping ability; and a brush using the brush bristle material.
