Abstract:
To provide a broad band antenna which has a super broad band with a high performance and is inexpensive.
The broad band antenna is formed by developing an antenna element forming part of the opening cross sectional structure of a double cylinder ridge waveguide on a plane. The antenna element includes: a ridge element part 21 for antenna characteristic adjustment equivalent to a ridge part; and a radiation element part 22 for electromagnetic wave radiation. A feeding terminal 24 is formed at the roughly distal end of the ridge element part 21. Ground parts 23a and 23b are maintained at a ground potential and a structure of leading the feeding terminal 24 to the outside as a coplanar waveguide is attained.
