PURPOSE: To receive a general broadcast in emergency when a normal television broadcast or chargeable television broadcast is watched at a terminal side and when neither one is received by sending out a control signal in emergency to a communitytelevision line and controlling the power source of each receiver.
CONSTITUTION: A DC signal sent through a coaxial cable 5D is detected by a switch control detector 18 and signals f1...f12 from a general broadcasting part are coupled with the community television line 5A. On the other hand, a signal for controlling a reception control part 10 into an emergency state is led to an MODEM14 through the community television line 5, a branching device 6, two- way filter 8, amplifier 7, branching device 9, and branching filter 17, and demodulated and then inputted to a computer (CPU) 15 to outputs a signal for turning on the power source of the television receiver 13; when a broadcast of a voice, image, etc., is sent from the general broadcasting part, it is watched over all channels of the television receiver 13.
