Abstract:
To provide a brominated diphenylethane mixture having excellent compatibility with a thermoplastic resin and providing impact strength, flowability, and thermal stability.
The brominated diphenylethane mixture is produced by brominating diphenylethane and includes hexabromodiphenylethane, heptabromodiphenylethane, and octabromodiphenylethane, a content of the hexabromodiphenylethane being 55-85 mass%, and a content of a compound obtained by substituting odd number of hydrogen atoms of the diphenylethane with bromine being 0.01-30 mass%, based on the total amount of the brominated diphenylethane mixture.
