Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brown gas production device and a method capable of producing a large quantity of brown gas.SOLUTION: The brown gas production device includes: (i) a plurality of electrolysis tanks 10 for producing brown gas which are aligned in one direction while forming a pair of rows; (ii) a plurality of water supply lines 22 for supplying electrolytes to lower portions of the plurality of electrolysis tanks 10; (iii) an electrically insulating water supply header 20 connected to the plurality of water supply lines 22, the header extending long in one direction to be located between the rows of the plurality of electrolysis tanks 10; (iv) a plurality of draining lines 42 for discharging the electrolytes which are connected to upper portions of the plurality of electrolysis tanks 10; (v) an electrically insulating drainage header 40 connected to the plurality of drainage lines 42 to face the water supply header 20; (vi) a power source 60 connected to the plurality of electrolysis tanks 10 and supplying a current for electrolyzing the electrolyte; and (vii) a brown gas discharge pipe 30 connected to upper ends of the plurality of electrolysis tanks 10 to discharge the produced brown gas to the outside.
