Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide brush bristle material in which further improvement in durability (mechanical strength and heat resistance) and weight reduction are realized.SOLUTION: Brush bristle material 1 is formed with spiderweb material containing a polypeptide derived from natural spiderweb protein. In addition, the brush bristle material 1 contains one type of abrasive grain 2 or two types of abrasive grains 2, 3. The abrasive grains 2, 3 contain one or two types or more among, for example, diamond, alumina, silicone, zirconia, cerium oxide. Thereby, higher strength and toughness may be realized when compared to conventional brush bristle material, for example, toughness of about 7 times may be realized when compared to conventional brush bristle material formed with aramid fiber. Furthermore, weight may be reduced to about one sixth of that of conventional brush bristle material formed with steel and weight may be reduced at about 40% when compared to brush bristle material formed with carbon fiber. In addition, heat resistance to an extend about 300°C may be realized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
