Abstract:
To use a current-collector brush with no waste without damaging a collector ring.SOLUTION: A brush burnout prevention device 400 is constituted so as to, when a current-collector brush 104 in a rotary electric machine abuts on a collector ring 301 at a first position that is a closer side of the collector ring 301 in a radial direction of the collector ring 301 than a side of a grommet 406 connecting a lead cable 106 to the current-collector brush 104, output an alarm signal to restrict movement, to the collector ring 301 side, of the current-collector brush 104 that abuts on the collector ring 301 at a second position that is a closer side of the grommet 406 than the first position and is closer to the collector ring 301 side than the grommet 406 in the radial direction of the collector ring 301.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
