Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make it possible to disregard problems of workability, that is, facilitate automatic assembly when planting brushes in a microminiaturized brush base, and plant brushes in constant positions for the prevention of variations in them when brought into contact with a commutator and for the reduction of number of parts required.
CONSTITUTION: Belt-shaped tinplate sheets are press-formed with a specified pitch to form pairs of continuous terminals 1, 1. They are fit in a mold formed with the same pitch, and continuously integrated into a brush base 2 in such a way that its portion at which the bases of brushes 3, 3 are to be spotted is exposed. This coupled state is maintained, and further pairs of continuous brushes 3, 3, previously press molded with the same pitch, are spotted to the terminals at their base. Then the coupled portions 1a..., 3a... are cut apart. Thus a brush device for compact d.c. motors is obtained.
