Abstract:
To provide: a brush holder device that while manufactured at low cost without requiring any special process control during the manufacture, can be securely reduced in quantity of variation in contact phase angle in an abrasion stage of a brush to prevent various problems due thereto; and a motor with the brush which is mounted with the same.SOLUTION: A brush 22 is brought into slide contact with an outer peripheral surface of a commutator 10 with elasticity accompanying bending of a brush arm 21, and then while the brush arm 21 is made to vary in angle as the brush 22 wears off, the brush 22 is kept in the slide contact. The center Cb of an arcuate trajectory (P1-P2) where an axial base point of the brush 22 moves when the brush arm 21 varies in angle as the brush 22 wears off is aligned with the middle point P01 of a brush length in directions in which the brush 22 contacts and leaves the commutator 10 so as to reduce a variation width S2 of the axial base point in a tangential direction of the brush 22 to the commutator 10, thereby reducing the quantity of variation in contact phase angle of the brush 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
