To achieve a stable and rattle inhibiting effect on brushes while maintaining smooth movement of the brushes.
In a brush holder device 30, a guide pole 76 is arranged in a depressed portion of each of first brushes and a second brush 104, and the guide pole 76 and a first side wall 88A restrict movement of each of the first brushes and the second brush 104 in a width direction without pressing each brush. The guide pole 76 is formed integrally with a base plate 50 that is made of resin. The guide pole 76 is formed integrally with the base plate 50, for example by injection molding of a resin material. Thus, increase of the number of man-hours for machining a brush holder 88 is restricted, and the guide pole 76 is formed in a stable manner. Therefore, the brush holder device 30 achieves a stable rattle inhibiting effect on the brushes.
