Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush motor capable of achieving multipolarization and reduction in size and weight while preventing overheat caused by overcurrent.SOLUTION: A multipolar brush motor that generates a rotational power in one direction and that has four or more magnetic poles, comprises: a rotary armature having an equalizer line; a commutator provided on the rotary armature; first and second brushes contacted with the commutator; a duty controller that controls a duty of a voltage pulse applied between the first and second brushes; a PWM signal generator that outputs a PWM signal corresponding to information on the duty; a drive transistor connected between any one of the first and second brushes and any one of a power supply and the ground, and on/off-controlled by the PWM signal, and that applies a voltage of the power supply to between the first and second brushes as the voltage pulse; and a current detection element that detects a current value of a current flowing through the drive transistor. The duty controller controls the duty of the PWM signal in a case where the detected current value is larger than a set current value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
