The brush system 1 includes: a carrier 30 having a plurality of receptacles 32; and at least two brush elements 10 which are engageably mounted on the carrier 30. Each brush element 10 is provided with a brush body 11 having a function side 13 with bristles 14 on its first side and a carrier side 12 on its second side. The carrier side 12 of each brush element 10 includes at least one clamping means 15 which provides engageable mounting with the receptacles 32 of the carrier 30. Each clamping means 15 has at least two elastic engagement claws 16 which are clamped with one of the receptacles 32.
