PURPOSE: To keep stable triboelectrification by providing a supporting plate adjacently to contacts consisting of flexible electric resistance bodies.
CONSTITUTION: Contacts 11 are blocked on a fabric 16 consisting of a base fabric 14 and a conductive backcoat layer 15, and this fabric 16 is stuck to a base 10 consisting of aluminium or the like, and a supporting plate 17 is provided in one end side of the fabric 16 so that it is brought into contact with contacts, and this supporting plate 17 is slightly shorten than contacts 11 and is not brought into contact with a surface 13a of a body 13 to be electrified. An electrode 12 for brush electrification is arranged to face the body 13 to be electrified so that the supporting plate 17 is placed below in the moving direction of the body 13 to be electrified, and a voltage is applied to contacts 11. Thus, the fall of contacts 11 is prevented by the supporting plate 17, and dust in an electrophotographic copying machine is attracted to contacts by the electric field around contacts 11, and as the result, stable electrification is kept because the surface 13a of the body 13 to be triboelectrified is not dirtied.
