To provide a brush for a vehicle washing machine, which is prevented from being bent when contacting the surface of a vehicle to be washed.
A cloth brush unit 1 is formed in a folded shape, and its base part 1A is mounted on a shaft body 10 with folding lines 5, 6 in the radial directions. A front part 1B of the brush unit is removed from on an inclined line Y from a portion of each folding line near the front part as a starting point X to the front end, inclined in the direction of being gradually distant from the folding line. During washing work for a vehicle, the front part of the brush unit expanded with rotation contacts the vehicle to be washed. At this time, partial removal of the front part contacting the vehicle to be washed (the cut of the angle part at the front end of the brush) establishes the condition of not forming the angle part at the loose end of each folding line to prevent the bending of the front part when contacting the surface of the vehicle to be washed. Thus, the vehicle is suitably washed as required while suppressing the breakage of the brush unit, namely, the brush for the vehicle washing machine.
