PURPOSE: To provide a brushing tool having an adjusting device for easily adjusting projecting quantity of a brush from a brush guide.
CONSTITUTION: A brush guide 80 is brought closely to a brush holder 26 against a force of a spring 66 in a state a reference projection 142 of an adjusting plate 140 is brought into contact with a plate surface 146 of the brush guide 80 and the brush guide 80 is stopped when a reference face 150 of the adjusting plate 140 is brought into contact with a free end 86 of a brush 44 in case the free end part of the brush 44 is worn out. A ball 98 in a taper hole 96 of a sleeve 56 is pressed to a guide shaft 52 side by the effect of a slant face of the taper groove 102 and advancing of the guide shaft 52 by the action of the spring 66 is obstructed. Thereby, a position of the brush guide 80 is determined and the brush 44 is ejected from the brush guide 80 by a proper quantity. The projecting quantity of the brush 44 can be easily adjusted only by moving the brush guide 80 backward.
