Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless motor which can supply a sinusoidal drive current, using a simple rotation sensor.
SOLUTION: This brushless motor has a field unit composed of rotor permanent magnets 12, three-phase drive windings 20A, 20B, and 20C of a stator, a group of drive transistors which supply powers to the drive windings, a drive command unit 21 which generates sinusoidal drive command signals, and a drive unit which supplies sinusoidal drive currents corresponding to the drive command signals to the drive windings. The drive command unit comprises a time-measuring instrument 42, which measures a time interval which is inversely proportional to a revolution of a rotor, according to a pulse signal of a rotation sensor 41 and a drive command generating unit 43 which changes an estimated electrical angle according to each time interval, corresponding to the measurement result of the time measuring instrument and generates a sinusoidal drive command signal corresponding to the estimated electrical angle.
