Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless motor which can output a higher power while its size is reduced by a method wherein a cooling efficiency is improved.
SOLUTION: A stator 2 is fixed to a motor holder 1. A rotor 6 is rotatably supported by the stator 2. A circuit board 12 on which a field circuit which supplies current to the stator 2 is attached to the motor holder 1. The rotor 6 is driven to rotate by the field current. A fan 11 in a blower case 19 is driven to rotate by the rotation of the rotor 6 for blowing. A center piece 3 to form the stator 2 has a cylindrical part 3a with the outer circumference to which a core 4 is fixed and extended part 3b which is the extended part of one end of the center piece 3 for the increase of its surface area. A part of air sent from the blower case 19 is supplied to radiation parts 3, 4, 5 and 14 including the extended part 3b as a cooling air through a branch duct 21. A water sink 24 are made to stay is provided beneath the branch duct 21 to keep the water drops on the inner wall of the branch duct 21.
