To improve the strength of a metallic buckle and the tensile strength of a strap binding both ends of the strap wound around an object to be wound.
In order to improve the tensile strength of a strap 12, an inwardly receding face is formed on a bridge part 30 where the tip end side of the tensioned strap 12 is folded, and by this, the tensioned strap is greatly deformed. The buckle has at least one reinforcing lateral rib 28 on the bridge part 20 and a notch 32 for the strap 12 to fit. The notch 32 defines a receding pocket part. By these, the tensile strength of the strap is improved. Furthermore, the buckle is provided with a foldable catching protrusion 22, and the protrusion 22 is provided with a pressing protrusion 26 near its moving end facing inward for a part of the strap to be caught by the buckle.
