Abstract:
To provide a buckling restraint brace which is suitable for use by being incorporated in a frame structure of a wooden building or the like, and deforms the frame structure and the buckling restraint brace out of the structure plane, for example, in the event of a large earthquake, and in which a core forming the buckling restraint brace presses into a restraint plate forming a wooden restraint material to eliminate generation of cracks in a side plate pulled by the restraint plate.SOLUTION: A buckling restraint brace 100 includes: a steel plate-shaped core 10; and a wooden restraint material 20 formed by a pair of wooden restraint plates 21 placed to face two wide surfaces 11a of the core 10, and a pair of wooden side plates 22 placed to face two narrow surfaces 11b of the core 10 and connected to the pair of restraint plates 21.
