To effectively utilize the space in a household Buddhist altar, to enable a book holder for a Buddhist scripture book or the like to be housed in the Buddhist altar body in a manner to be freely able to be pulled out, to prevent installation articles or Buddhist altar fitting or the like which are mounted in the Buddhist altar body from being knocked down or damaged, and to effectively mount and house them.
This household Buddhist altar is equipped with the household Buddhist altar body 2, a supporting member 17, and a receiving member. In this case, the supporting member 17 has a housing section on the lower surface of one shelf of a plurality of shelves which are provided in the approximately horizontal direction in the household Buddhist altar body 2. The receiving member is freely detachably fitted on the rear surface of a holding plate with a shelf plate 19 is pulled out from the housing section. The shelf plate 19 is fitted in the housing section in a manner to freely be able to be pulled out in the longitudinal direction of the household Buddhist altar main body 2, is positioned in front of a guiding plate being located behind as viewed from the front surface of the household Buddhist altar body 2, and has the holding plate which is freely bendably connected with the guiding plate. With the shelf plate 19 pulled out to the front surface side of the household Buddhist altar body 2 from the housing section, the holding plate is bent and held by being tilted in a manner to come closer to the guiding plate, and the receiving member is fitted on the holding plate to form the book holder for documents. The book holder is housed in the household Buddhist altar body 2 as it remains cleared of the receiving member, and pushed into the rear surface side.
