Title:
BUFF POLISHING MACHINE FOR LENS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2969092
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to a coat on a lens in buff-polishing at the end face of the lens.
SOLUTION: In a buff polishing machine for a lens to polish the end face of a spectacle lens 1, the shaft 41 of a buff wheel 42 is inclined to the chuck shaft of the spectacle lens and the polishing place of the buff wheel is conically curved for nap to be inclined to the direction of separating from the surface of the lens during polishing. As the shaft of the buff wheel is inclined, the centrifugal direction of operating on the nap with the rotation of the buff wheel is the direction of separating from the surface of the spectacle lens, so that the polishing of a coat on the surface of the spectacle lens by the nap is prevented and damage to the periphery of the spectacle lens, when polished at the end, is prevented.
