PURPOSE: To prevent the overflow of transfer data beforehand and to extend a data priority processing and the testing range of provided functions, regarding the buffer control system in a communication equipment.
CONSTITUTION: The buffer of the xth from the end of the reception buffer queue 3 corresponding to a communication line is fixed as a BO for overrun monitoring. A reception overrun monitoring means 101 monitoring whether data is already stored in this buffer BO and a reception buffer batch replenishment means 102 performing the batch connection of a prescribed number of empty buffers B possessed in common with the end of the reception buffer queue 3 when it is detected that data is already stored in the overrun monitoring buffer BO are provided. By providing a first priority data transmission means 111 or a second priority data transmission means 112 in addition to these means, the priority processing of data with high priority is enabled. Further, testing conditions are made to be arbitrarily set by providing a testing data processing means 121.
