Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber which achieves good workability during cap assembly even if a cap to be attached to one side end part of an outer tube is not attached from one side of the outer tube.SOLUTION: A shock absorber 1 includes: a sub assembly having a cylinder member S, a rod 7 which gets into or out from the cylinder member S, and a cap 42 attached to a tip of the rod 7 protruding to the outside of the cylinder member S; and an outer tube 40 in which the cylinder member S is slidably inserted. A small inner diameter part 40a having an inner diameter smaller than an outer diameter of a slide part of the cylinder member S is formed at one side end part of the outer tube 40, and the cap 42 is attached to an inner periphery of the small inner diameter part 40a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
