Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a small attenuation force and give a big change width into an attenuation force characteristic.
CONSTITUTION: In a buffer for changing the viscosity of an electroviscous fluid 28 which is an operation fluid passing the clearance 5 and changing an attenuation force by impressing an electric field to the clearance 5 between an inner cylinder 4 for storing a piston 2 and partitioning a cylinder chamber 3 and an intermediate cylinder 6 for surrounding the outside of this inner cylinder 4 while having a prescribed clearance, a port 15 locating on the end part of its exhaust side and a hole 16 locating on its intermediate part are provided on the intermediate cylinder 6. Further, a projection part 17 for projecting toward the inner cylinder 4 and reducing the clearance 5 for the inner cylinder 4 is formed on the circumferential part of the hole 16 of the intermediate cylinder 6.
