Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber which improves damping performance and inhibits the occurrence of abnormal noise.SOLUTION: An engine mount (a shock absorber) includes: a vibration isolator which is disposed between an engine 2 (a vibration member) and a vehicle body 3 (a non-vibration member) and elastically deforms thereby absorbing vibrations of the engine 2; and a damping generating device 20 disposed between the engine 2 and the vehicle body 3. The damping generating device 20 includes: a first attachment member 30 which is attached to the engine 2 through an insulator 33 (an elastic member); a second attachment member 40 attached to the vehicle body 3; an input member 50 attached to the first attachment member 30; a swing member 60 having a weight 63 which is swingably attached to the second attachment member 40; and a power transmission mechanism 70 provided between the input member 50 and the swing member 60. The swing member 60 swings in conjunction with movement of the input member 50.
