Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a building block type electronic apparatus where a first I/O module is started without changing software even in the case of fundamental modules including a double slot width module.
CONSTITUTION: A power module, a CPU module, and I/O modules are mounted on slots of a mother board in order, and the I/O module mounted adjacently to the CPU module is first started. In this device, the mother board is provided with a means 16, which generates the address of each slot, and a CPU address bus 15 which transmits the CPU module mounting address, and the CPU module reads out addresses of connected slots and outputs them to the CPU address bus 15, and each I/O module determines its own logical address based on its own slot address 16 and the CPU module mounting address, and the CPU module uses the logical address to determine the I/O module to be first started.
