To provide a building which is less deteriorated with age on the square wall surface of a building, has high energy-saving efficiency, and less produces waste in remodeling.
In this building having a ventilation layer 5, a square wall surface 10 includes a skeleton 1, a heat insulator 2, substrate members, and an exterior member 4 positioned in this order from the indoor side to the outdoor side. The heat insulator 2 is formed of a porous foam having a thickness of 40-60 mm, a compressive strength of 20 N/cm2 or higher, and a bending strength of 25N/cm2 or higher. The substrate members are arranged at intervals on the heat insulator 2, and extend in the vertical direction. The ventilation layer 5 is formed in the area partitioned by the heat insulator 2, the substrate members, and the exterior member 4.
