Title:
BUILDING MATERIAL COATING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2779781
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a building material gentle for environment, with low lead content and having desirable surfaces after weathering by coating the surfaces of metal materials having low reflective, high corrosion-resistant multiphase alloy contg. tin and zinc.
CONSTITUTION: Passing a metal sheet in the soln. contg. less than 0.05% lead, zinc and tin, 0.0-0.5% Ni and 0.0-0.5% copper, the metal sheet is coated with low reflective, high corrosion-resistant multiphase tin-zinc metallic alloy coating of at least 0.001-0.05 in, thickness. It is preferable to be the content of tin plus zinc of >80 wt.% of the coating. The metallic alloy is preferable to contain 35-65% zinc. A material for metal sheets is carbon steel, stainless steel and copper, etc. By the process, a grey surface, which is environmentally gentle and not reflective, is formed.
