Abstract:

To provide a building material for concrete reinforcement that has high tensile elastic modulus and is excellent in alkali resistance, creep resistance, and productivity, as well as a concrete member or structure reinforced by using the building material.SOLUTION: A building material for concrete reinforcement is composed of polyparaphenylene terephthalamide fibers and a matrix resin. A crystallinity of the polyparaphenylene terephthalamide fibers measured by wide-angle X-ray diffraction is 70% or more.
