Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building material of a new structure, which can be easily manufactured, form a wide chamfering portion by using a relatively thin surface covering plate, and does not cause damage or the like even if an impact or a load is applied thereto.
SOLUTION: The building material is obtained by providing the surface covering plate 10 consisting of a substrate 12 and a decorative material 11 stuck thereto, and bending the plate 10 at V-shaped cutout portions 13 and 13 which each are cut from a rear surface side of the substrate in such a manner that at least the decorative material is left, and sticking the plate 10 onto a surface of a core material 15 in one body. According to the building material, a core material receiving portion 14 is formed on a substrate rear surface side at a location corresponding to a chamfering portion 17 of the surface covering plate, and a fitting portion 18 into which a corner portion of the core material is fitted is formed on the rear surface of the core receiving portion. Then, the surface covering plate is bent at the V-shaped cutout portions formed on both sides of the core receiving portion, and while the corner portion of the core material is fitted into the fitting portion, the core material and the surface covering material are fixed to each other, to thereby obtain the building material having the chamfering portion.
