Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate mounting work by adhesively mounting to a surface material, formed by a thin natural stone, a backing material of the same shape to the surface material being displaced from it and utilizing a part of the protruded backing material for mounting to a wall or the like. CONSTITUTION:A building material is constituted adhesively mounting a backing material 14, having a main surface of almost the same area to the main surface of a surface material 12, to a reverse of the rectangular plate-shaped surface material 12, formed by a thin natural stone, in a manner wherein one part of the main surface of the backing material 14 is displaced protruding. The building material 10 thus constituted, when it is mounted to a wall surface and/or a floor surface, is only required to drive a nail to the part of the backing material 14 protruded from the surface material 12, and mounting work can be easily performed.
