Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost, by forming a building panel of a rectangular foamed- polystyrene core and a number of grooved reinforcing members buried in the polystyrene core.
SOLUTION: A panel 30 is made of swelled polystyrene foam having about 16-24kg/m3 in the density and vertically extending reinforcing members 32, 33 are arranged between segments 31 of the panel 30. The legs 35 of the reinforcing members 32, 33 having U-shaped cross section are positioned to make the same plane with the wide surface parts 36, 37 of the panel 30 and roughly potrude within the plane of panel 30. Moreover, a number of holes are drilled at the base 34 of reinforcing members 32, 33 and polystyrene foam spreads through these holes and joins to the segments 31. Accordingly, a panel having effective heat-insulation and sound-insulation properties can be formed.
